Dr. Brendan Byrne
Over the years I have supported people who have been dealing with a loss of confidence because of life events - breakdown of relationships; stress; work issues; bereavement and anxiety. Many of these events are outside a person's control but often there are opportunities to take a different perspective and move forward. This is where therapy can help.
In the course of my career as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist I have taken a particular interest in the subject of bullying behaviour and have carried out extensive research in this area. I researched this issue for the completion of my Ph.D. I have been invited to lecture and give seminars and workshops to both young people and adults in Ireland and abroad.
I have worked as a sessional therapist with an organisation involved in the treatment of self-harming and suicidal ideation.
I have provided Counselling/Psychotherapy for people on the Autistic Spectrum, especially those diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome.
